CMDR Willie McCool, the pilot of the Space Shuttle Columbia graduated from Coronado High School, in Lubbock Texas. This is a statue depicting him as an astronaut and as a boy who dreamed of flying and going to space. The 15 foot tall statue is located in Lubbock at Huneke Park.
