A flock of Canada geese were swimming in the river. As I approched the riverbank to set up the camera, I noticed the geese, being careful not to flush them...they have now been GigaPanned.

This past winter has been a very good year for snow in Western Canada with record or near-record falls. This shows the late April snows on Mount Athabasca in the Columbia Icefields. More is likely, in fact it gets snow in every month of the year.

This 360 degree pano was taken from a hill known as Old Fort Point just outside of Jasper, Alberta in Jasper National Park. The hill is only a few hundred feet high as you can see looking down at the Athabasca River but holds a commanding view of the townsite, the valley and the surrounding peaks.
