The 'Carnavalsduik' (carnivaldive) is an event that takes place each year in Blankenberge (Belgium). It's the 1st dive of the year in the (4degree) cold wather of the Nordsea. After a 20minutes rhythmic warming, the disguised people are running to the sea for a cold dive.

The Pier of Blankenberge is one of Blankenbergs oldest monuments.It was 1st builded in the beginning of the 19th century and destroyed during WWI. Now the Pier is completely renovated and during beautifull days, you can enjoy a nice cup of tea or coffee with dry feet in the sea.
