You'd be excused for thinking this was Bryce Canyon National Park, but it's not. The geology is essentialy the same, but this is along Hwy 12, a couple miles west of Bryce.

Probably a Basin & Range normal fault, you can see its trace distinctly where the orange Tertiary lacustrine sediments with hoodoos but up abrubtly against dark basalt.

This is the Wilson Creek Coulee badlands near Drumheller, Alberta, part of Dinosaur Provincial Park. Many of the fossils in the Tyrell Museum have come from these badlands.
