  6. Drivers along Interstate 70 will recognize these oil derricks (part of a museum to the oil industry) at Russell as one of the landmarks along that road in western Kansas. Another claim to fame for Russell is that it is the shared birthplace of Senators Bob Dole and Arlen Specter.
