  2. La Azul is a volcanic lagoon at the Somuncura Plateau in Rio Negro, Argentina. The lagoon is in the middle of the crater of an extinct volcano and acts as a reservoir of water. The panorama shows the North/West rim of the crater lit by the first rays of sunlight.

  3. The very dark skies at the Somuncura Plateau, Rio Negro. Showing part of the Milky Way and the Magellan clouds over "La Azul" lagoon. Taken on a moonless night it was so dark you couldn't see a hand in front of your face. The brownish reflection at the lagoon is the opposite part of the milky way that was at my back...
