  2. This roacdut exposes a Quaternary large boulder conglomerate beside Lone Pine Creek in the Alabama Hills. Most of the clasts are boulders of granitoids of the Mount Whitney Intrusive Suite.

  3. Incised down into the alluvial fan between the Sierra Nevada front and the Alabama Hills, this portion of Lone Pine Creek caught my eye for the beautiful flowers (lupines?) blooming in the floodplain.
