The Laguna de Santa Rosa is a wonderful landscape. This spot is about 8 minutes from my house. There is a highway about 45 feet behind the camera position.
I think this is a particularly persistent vernal pond - a pond which tries up in the summer. We are still a bit away from the proper 'creek' channel. But during the winter this whole area, including the fence posts, can be underwater. People...

Another low cost macro capture.
This shows the deep need for me to get chdk working so I can do focus stacking. In places this looks almost abstract, but it is because I picked different things to focus on in the different shots (most of the images were manual focus).
