The memorial wall, known as the Tablets of the missing, in the American military cemetery in Cambridge, UK. This lists the names of over 5000 dead and missing american service personel from WW2.

Kuwait military parade 2011

Kuwait held a military parade for the occasion of independent and liberation days.
Egypt, Syrian, GCC shield forces, USA, FRANCE, UK and the Kuwaiti military participated in it.

The RAF's XXV (Fighter) Squadron is due to disband on 4th April 2008 and, as part of this, held a Friends of XXV (F) Squadron Day. This is the Quick Reaction Alert (Interceptor) hanger and its Tornado F3 fighter, showing some of the equipment and armaments used. A few Gigapans of the main aircraft line-up will be uploaded over the next few days - all the panoramas will show some noise as an ISO of 400 was needed to cope with shade indoors and high winds outdoors!

Each year up to 10,000 visiting aircraft - of all shapes, sizes and varieties - make Oshkosh the busiest airport in the world. This gigapan was shot Saturday morning. It only has a few bad spots in the stitching caused by people walking in front of the lens.

In 1748, using a design by Augustin Ehrensvärd, the Swedish government began construction of the Suomenlinna Sea Fortess on seven islands in the Gulf of Finland south of Helsinki. At the time, Finland was under Swedish rule and Helsinki was just a tiny seaside hamlet.
