GigaPans

This is the third try at this gigapan. I like this scene. It is so typical of rural Pennsylvania. My problem is I only used six rows, 2 columns, and 12 pix. I moved closer to the farm house, losing some of the cows in a second gigapan,which uses 36 pix and 3 rows, but it too is under 40 images. What I discovered is the closer the gig the more images it takes.

Fate found me traveling north on Rt. 81 just south of Hazleton for a story on the Interstate System. It began to snow, and I started shooting nine minutes before the accident. This cemetery is located in the old community of Mount Pleasant at the base of the Laurel Mountains. I am always fascinated by old tombstones. I read them and want to know as much about the person as I can. In this cemetery some of the old tombstones and graves have been damaged over the years. Rather than discard the epitaphs someone lined them up in a row near the entrance. You can read each stone and, like me, wonder about the person that the stone represents. Who were they? How did they die?...
