Shot from Mount Batten as the sun was setting. A nightmare postprocessing job with 8GB RAM as the image is a 48GB raw file. There's a (much smaller) 360 taken from the same location here www.gigapan.org/gigapans/64038/ where you can also see some odd lights in the sky!

This is a nice little park in Torpoint with views across to Devonport. There is a close-up of Devonport here: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/63936/

© The Gigapanographer Currently Known as "Kilgore661" This is a version of www.gigapan.org/gigapans/64036/ made using tone mapping. Update: according to the UK Met Office these are not sundogs but they don't know what is causing the "Kilgorebows" in the sky either. I'm betting on some sort of internal e...

Taken just after sunset on a chilly, breezy evening. I wasn't hopeful that I would get anything mainly because of the conditions but also because I only had a few minutes to shoot the scene. This version was made by stitching two bracketed layers in Autopano then messing about with them in Photoshop. There is an alt...

The view across to Devonport from The Lawns at Torpoint near Plymouth. Shot at 500mm and stitched with Stitch v. 1.1.1211 which has done a great job with the heavy vignetting caused by using the Bigma at max zoom. Of course you can still see the problem caused by vignetting but the result is much better than that deliv...

Neat bridge near Plymouth. Five levels of bracketing in this version (three in www.gigapan.org/gigapans/63711/ ). This version is less spectacular but arguably more natural.

Update: this image has been superceded by www.gigapan.org/gigapans/63936/ The view across to Devonport from The Lawns at Torpoint near Plymouth. This version is done with Stitch v. 1.1.1211 and as you can see the vignetting is much less of a problem than the AP v. 2.5 version here: www.gigapan.org/giga...

The bay at Kingsand and Cawsand near Plymouth. I went here on holiday as a child, back in the days when you got proper horizons - i.e. horizontal ones :-) A pity the tone-mapping process has introduced so much ghosting. I will see if I can make a better version ...

This is the second of two bridges at Plym Bridge near Plymouth that I shot last week. (The first one was gigapan.org/gigapans/63675/. Neither of these images is of Plym Bridge itself.) Although it was late afernoon and the light was poor, I noticed the colours in the brickwork and thought they might come out wel...

Shot from the Tamar road bridge in Plymouth. Less of a gigapan and more of an experiment in shooting in very poor light conditions (it was nearly dark at the time). The images in this gigapan were shot hand-held at ISO 2000.
