  1. This is in the southeastern quadrant of the San Rafael Swell. I've previously GigaPanned the eastern margin of the swell, north of here where I-70 pierces it (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/32536/).

  2. Looking down into the notch through which Interstate 70 passes into the San Rafael Swell.

  3. The abrupt east face of the San Rafael Swell where I-70 pierces it. Outside of Boulder, Colorado you'd be hard pressed to find a better example of hogbacks.

  4. The gently dipping west side of the San Rafael Swell is one of the more desolate stretches of America traversed by a major interstate highway. Desolate, but not lacking in geologic wonders.

  5. 1 row test shot of a fishing pier. A little washed out near the start and a bit hazy at the end, but i think its an interesting shot...

  6. The San Rafael Swell, taken from this rest stop is one of the most popular panoramas. You can see the squeeze of uplifted rock so well and zooming in on cars and people gives you a great feeling of the size of this geologic feature. Canon G9 hand held (DUH) using the panorama feature
