Paso Pacifico has several areas of native species reforestation along the southern shores of Lake Nicaragua, outside of the town of Cardenas. This shot was taken from Isla Vista, where a reforestation project was established in 2007. Some day, it will look like the forest seen from this vista.

One of the areas being reforested in the Pamine Project are those degraded by invaders who stole wood, toppled the forest to create cattle. The project is an experiment that is being transmitted to other indigenous peoples.
