  1. The sun was behind me so I knew what was coming as I watched this storm move over the valley towards me on Tumamoc Hill. There was also lighning, but I did not record any of it. Eventually the rain bow made a complete arc over the city, but it was too windy and wet to attempt another Gigapan at that point.

  3. Late afternoon on Friday, June 1. Walkers wind up the road from the Desert Laboratory in the middle distance. Cataline Mountains in teh distance parially obsured by haze from teh New Mexico fires.

  4. Haze from New Mexico fire makes visibility low. The saguaros in the foreground are part of a long-term study plot on the south side of Tumamoc Hill. to the lower left, one can see part of a trinchera, prehistoric rock alignments to make terraces on the hill.
