Although this rare fungus (Ascomycetes) got a larger substrate range, it prefers Willow thickets like Salix viminalis and others growing on swampy places. Here it grows on Salix cinerea, Belsakerweier near Hellange, Luxembourg. The site can be seen here: www.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?id=24456

nice day at the gardens. if i lived nearby i would be here all the time, very peaceful. need to work on getting the saturation correct, the sky was blue but it came out white in this pan.
