This is the same as my other pano with the exception that the good South Pole doc (grannydoc) went to the trouble of drawing in each of the constellations that are visible in the sky. You can see the same pano without the stars drawn in at my other pano:

Winter in Minnesota is a time for fun and festivals. The oldest and biggest of these is St. Paul's Winter Carnival, eleven days of outdoor activities, competitions, parties and parades. The ice carving competition in Rice Park is always popular, but temperatures above freezing last week have taken a toll. It was 11°F (-11°C) when I shot this; lengthening the button-push time to 3 seconds seems to have solved my problem of skipped exposures.

View from Stanley Park at dusk.
The Main Media Centre (MMC) for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games was located within the Canada Place complex and the Vancouver Convention Centre on the city’s downtown waterfront.
Canada Place housed the Main Press Centre, while the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) was located in the Vancouver Convention Centre (West Building).

Kiana, a pretty little Alaskan village at the confluence of the Kobuk and Squirrel Rivers, was actually behind me, up a rather steep hill. This quiet panorama nicely shows the cold, vast emptiness of the newly frozen rivers that provide food, transportation and recreation to the folks in the village.

Kotzebue Alaska as viewed from the hill above town. Stitched from 27 hand held frames shot in portrait orientation. Note the occasional "shivering artifact". Have fun searching for the third dog sled team.

On this February day in Polebridge, MT, the only signs of life we saw while photographing this image was a little red fox. Situated along the North Fork of the Flathead River, which is the boundary of Glacier National Park, this small community is home to a few hardy residents in the winter who live off the grid stoking their fires and listening for wolves.

The ice cone that has built up to more than half the height of the 460 foot cataract is beginning to melt and crumble, but there's enough ice to last well into May or even early June.
Those wishing to see the falls may take the trip along Highway 5 (Yellowhead Highway) to the town of Clearwater, BC then north into the Clearwater Valley into Wells Gray Provincial Park. It's approximately 30 km from Clearwater, 150 km north of Kamloops or about 250 km south of Jasper, Alberta. The road into t...
