Matthew Cicanese is a conservation ecologist, wildlife macro-photographer, and documentary filmmaker who explores realms of the micro-cosmos in the natural world that are teaming with biodiversity. He works to inspire humans to appreciate the fragility, beauty, and deep complexity of Earth through larger-than-life imagery and films. He graduated from Florida Southern College with a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Studies, and is attending Duke University Graduate School to earn a Master of Fine Arts in Experimental and Documentary Arts. He plans to hold a career as a National Geographic photographer and filmmaker, where he will communicate the importance and beauty of biodiversity through his works to the world.
