I am a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Illinois at Chicago studying Andean archaeology. My dissertation research is focused on 5,000-year-old ceremonial architecture on the north central coast of Peru. I use GigaPan to not only document cultural heritage sites that are rapidly deteriorating, but also to use the panoramas in interesting and innovative ways that supplement my research.
