Shows the Strathcona Refinery, Goldbar water treatment plant, downtown Edmonton, Rundle Park. Camera was set up at the Strathcona Science Park near the ski hill adjacent to the North Saskatchewan River.

Shows the Imperial Oil Strathcona Refinery and adjacent E-Construction yard along Baseline Road near Sherwood Park on the east side of Edmonton. The Suncor refinery is in the background on the right.

While setting up the panorama, I was approached by a security guard from Esso who informed me that taking photographs of the refinery was not allowed. However, I was on public land (beside the road) and he had no authority to make me stop. I also said that Imperial Oil was my client for the...

This old cabin sits by the road into Wells Gray Park about 20 km north of Clearwater, BC. Autumn colors were at their optimum. I'm also trying to find some history about this cabin as it was built by one of the early pioneers in this area.

Using a relatively long focal length I locked the focus on the corner of the cabin so the background is in relatively soft focus with a shallow depth of field.

How many different vehicles can you recognize?

Taken from the shoulder of Baseline Road, Sherwood Park. A super large crane is curretly at the refinery doing some very heavy lifting...at least 1000 tons. Flare stack has a flame on it about 50 feet high.
