The funeral parlor is now a bar and cafe with occasional live music. Before he retired in 1976, Noland Kelly, Marfa's funeral director buried 2497 people. This is larger than the entire population of the town today.

In the 1930'sthis building was owned and operated as a feed and seed store by Bill Bishop. It sat abandoned for many years until it was refitted and renamed The Goode Crowley Theater. Live performances and readings are held there regularly.

The Union Pacific Railroad passes through town several times a day. If there is a performance scheduled in the Goode Crowley Theater (the large building to the left) the performers are instructed to pause until it passes, otherwise they are literally drowned out by the sound of the passing train.

Post-WWII, owner and operator Roy H. "Happy" Godbold bought the elevator from an old mica mine for $6,000. and an Army Warehouse for $5,200 and began the Godbold Feed and Supply. It is still in operation today.
