    It appears that the camera was not locking in focus when the center of the frame was pointed at blank sky. The stitcher was blending a bit of the sharp and soft images together along this boundry of the building and sky. Eventhough the camera was on manual focus set to infinity I believe it tried to outsmart the user and refocus on each exposure. More detailed reading of the manual is in order and a few more tests.

    There is a breeding pair of Peregrines that nest under the Fremont Bridge. The ample supply of fresh pigeons make this a great nesting location high above the river, out of the weather and tucked away from earthbound preditors.
