    Description:

    This headless man is testimony to how great Brookline Blvd is for walkers. There are several varied points of interest for pedestrians along the six-block main street.

    Description:

    This Mexican grocery store sells a variety of exotic meats and produce, as well as prepared foods on the weekends.

    Description:

    If you have to cross the street, be careful. Although Brookline Blvd is a great place for a walk, there is a lot of vehicular traffic as this street serves as a main artery through the town.

    Description:

    Brookline received a branch of the Carnegie Library in 1930. It was relocated to its present home on Brookline Blvd in 1990.



  6. Party Cake Shop

    Description:

    One of Brookline Blvd's oldest institutions, Party Cake Shop opened in 1961. The building it occupies was built in 1910, and has only ever housed bakeries.



  7. Brookline FIre Engine House

    Description:

    This engine house is the original, and still present location of the Brookline Fire Department. It was constructed for $7500 in 1915. Renovations in 2001 helped accommodate modern equipment.

    Brookline Blvd has an eclectic mix of ethnic foods grocers, such as Pitaland which specializes in Mediterranean food.

    Description:

    Brookline Blvd is the main artery for the city of Brookline. Pittsburgh's second largest city was connected to downtown in 1905 with the expansion of the trolley car system.

    This pirate ship still needs about three hours of work. Sarah described it as being by far her most painful tattoo.

    Frequently cold as a child, Sarah's mother would hold her hands and say "You know, cold hands means a warm heart!"

    This is a quote from Sarah's favorite book -- C.S. Lewis' "Till We Have Faces". "That tattoo is a testament of my faith, and how I desire to live and view life." she said.

    This is Sarah's favorite tattoo, and was designed and tattooed by her friend Jesse Buman. She described the process as "extremely painful."
