Some of the old buildings in the center of Wolfenbuttel date back to the 1600's (maybe earlier). This particular setting screamed to have its picture taken. 408 shots. Shifting sun causing the burn out on the upper left roofline. If only it had stayed cloudy!

Shot in aperture priority to bring out the detail of the stones. Troublesome shot with the manual focus kicking out and going auto, therefore the blurry area. The stones of the walls and street were originally ballast stones from old sailing ships.

This historic riverfront district is home to numerous shops, restaurants and taverns. Its history dates back hundreds of years as Savannah served as a major seaport, and still does. Not happy with the exposure of this shot. Messed it up.
